I believe, at one time there were three pubs located in this terrace of houses

Previously each chapel had its own full time minister. But now one minister has to look after as many as six chapels. Their main duty officiating at funerals of the elderly membership.

the Town Hall, the most imposing buildings are the non-conformist chapels

It is remarkable that these buildings were erected in the latter half of the nineteenth century, not with funds provided by government, the established church or wealthy benefactors, but through contributions of half-pence and pence from the chapels members.

Regrettably

a wedding limo, a future does not make

The local government has failed miserably to take measures to compensate for the decline in the local industrial based economy and to find a new direction for the town.

For the last week I have been attempting to capture the quickly disappearing character of a small West Wales Town. A long time before the World financial crises, the area was in decline, recent events has accelerated the process.
