How long was your lens? swans are very protective of their kith and kin.

I used the zoom on the Canon G9.
Unfortunately they built the nest very close to a public footpath. I was old, that she laid six eggs, but since being here (3weeks) I have only seen two. I past the nest yesterday and there was a large branch on the nest (it wasn’t there the night before, and it was too large for nesting material) I think someone had tried to poke the swan to get her to move off the nest.
