Some months ago I watched a series on the BBC about photography, one eminent photograph said of another’s suicide “if she could not be sustained by photography, what hope is there for the rest of us”. That set me to think of the dangers that could exist for artists, who gets so involved in their work, their life could fall apart if they lost their inspiration.
They have seen the reality of it all.

I thought the photographer in question was so fascinated by the graffiti below that they fell to their death. Let’s hope photography sustains us.
