closing one by one
Previously each chapel had its own full time minister. But now one minister has to look after as many as six chapels. Their main duty officiating at funerals of the elderly membership.

That’s sad. How much of it is because people don’t go to church anymore, or the town has an elderly population that is dying off, or is it that the church just doesn’t have the funds?
