    That is just not right. Post Offices in small towns are more than mail, there is also a sense of place and community.

    Lynn, long gone is the concept that the Post Office is there to provide a service. The Royal Mail is in deep trouble due to the lack of funds for its workers pension scheme

    The Post Office unfortunately is not a big money maker for the government here in America. They have risen the price of a stamp again and are talking of cutting back on services. I hope that doesn’t happen.

    The Post Office, I think, as we have known it, is changing here in the USA and abroad. Small town offices will eventually be absorbed into the larger ones. The structure and the jobs as before are going to be going, going, gone in time. They are talking of going to 5 day mail delivery instead of 6 day here.
