If you know anything about Rugby Football, you would have heard of Llanelli Scarlets.
If you know nothing about rugby, let me try to explain what the legendary Scarlets represent. Think of any sport, now think about the greatest team. Now you are getting nearly halfway to imagining how great a reputation the Scarlets have.
Google: Llanelli + New Zealand + 1972 and read how a rugby team from a small Welsh town beat the mighty all conquering All Blacks team. Many people claim they were there that day – the day the pubs run dry. I was privileged to have been there – at the match, not the pubs!
Last night the Scarlets played for the last time at their hallowed Strady Park ground and 127 years of history has come to an end.
